Photographer Robin Allen brings years of personal and professional experience to Lifescape Portraits. Her artistic vision was initially formed by her childhood amid the geographical drama of Southern California: the sweeping vistas, the vivid Mediterranean colors; the surreal juxtaposition of mountains, beaches, and desert. Photography has been her passion and her profession since, as a young Navy wife, she experienced the magic of an image appearing in the developer in the darkroom of a military hobby shop in Hawaii.
Robin is an award-winning photographer and earned her AA in Graphic Communications and her BA in English. She apprenticed as a staff photographer in the graphic design company that grew to be Mentus. She spent six years as the studio manager for two of San Francisco's top advertising photographers, Jim Erickson and Mel Lindstrom, and owned her own commercial photo studio.

of a complicated narrative just as she does with her Lifescape Portraits. Charming and fun, she is an excellent example of a being in perpetual motion. Equally comfortable on a computer as she was in the darkroom, she is excited by the creative opportunities new technologies afford her as a photographer and graphic artist.
These days she enjoys transforming images in Photoshop almost as much as shooting them. But what she really works for, what she enjoys the most, is the enchantment her art provokes in others and the joy it brings to the clients.
